The VFW, Department of California Foundation has launched its 2008 program campaign. Our goal is to raise $80,000 for programs such as the VFW Voice of Democracy, Patriots Pen, Teacher of the Year award and other recognition awards. So far this year we have raised $60,000. The VFW, Department of California foundation is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that relies on public and corporate donations to support programs that promote citizenship education and volunteer ism and facilitate aid for active duty military, veterans and their families in need of medical, rehabilitation, educational and employment services.
Although the VFW, Department of California Foundation is separate from the VFW, its commitment is the same; improving the lives of veterans and active duty personnel, their families and their communities.
